Art of Chinese Characters App Reviews

Thank-you. I am delighted to be learning something about Chinese culture. This is a very sweet teaching app. I think that I will want to find the rest of the lessons (2-7) somewhere, since they arent available through USA APPLE APPS.

This is a great app to learn chinese characters (simplified and traditional). It gives you really cool paintings with links to the applicable characters. there are a number of scenes to choose from which are basically landscapes with metadata built in The great: easy to see why characters are the way they are. It shows a link from original cave paintings through its evolution into characters Also, its a good looking app Minor tweeks: toggle speed for character simulations when it demonstrates the stroke order. More smoothness and faster speed moving between scenes/sections. Also, a pause button for the character evolution. Its really cool and i want to admire it longer Main tweek needed: info on more characters. Its got a nice variety but it would be nice to have a notice built in the app saying whats in development, when its coming and what it would cost All in all $3 to get all the packs. I think its descent value but i would rather have had many more characters and a value price if that were possible Its nice to see tablets FINALLY being used properly for character education

This is the most useful app I have used so far in teaching chinese. It is very helpful for students to learn the correct way of writing Chinese characters. And the videos of how words changing over years bring more fun to learning. The images are very beautiful as well. I am very impressed by your work and hope you will develop more series! Thank you very much!

Every painting includes several chinese character. Its a perfect combination!

Great application! Very helpful and well done. After updating to the latest version of ios, the app fails, when I click on the first character in the Learn mode. Fix the bug asap!

The graphic is pretty cool. The words in this app may not that easy but its really help me to learn how to write chinese characters. I think for those people who desperate to learn mandarin writing, this app is definetely helpful.

This app is well designed with good pronunciation and content. I downloaded the Free version and played with my almost 7-year-old and she really enjoyed it. We now have the whole set. Chinese characters in the pictograms groups are easy and fun to learn. This app uses pictures and short videos to show the character transformation as well as proper strokes to write each word.

normally, those hanzi products are super dull from my eye. however, this app brings we users to a new and interesting level. highly recommend to u all.

Beautiful graphic and intuitive interface. It made learning Chinese much less intimating.

Although I am enjoying other parts of the app, the writing practice is very tricky...almost buggy. Is it my fat finger? Or my small iPhone screen?

I was trying explain to a friend about the history and beauty of Chinese characters, and I found this app. This app has interactive calligraphy, as well as other learning tools to make for a unique and thoughtful introduction. The characters are sold in groups of common characters. I would like to see more apps of this quality.
